Nix Senior Gold, a senior health awareness program designed in partnership with Nix physicians, offers preventive health services, educational and informative programs, and special member discounts especially for seniors.

  EDUCATIONAL & INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS

One of the highlights of Nix Senior Gold is the companionship of fellow members during social and informational events. Special member opportunities include:

• Informative semi-annual Senior Gold newsletter,
• Monthly Smart Living Seminars, which offer members a nutritious lunch, social interaction and informative presentations from health care and business professionals,
• Just-for-Fun field trips,
• Health education materials,
• Volunteer projects, and
• Other enriching activities.

Senior Gold members are entitled to reduced-fee or complimentary health screenings, health fairs and other preventive services to aid in the quest for wellness. Services include:

• Blood pressure checks at the monthly Smart Living Seminars,
• Health care screenings,
• Flu shots,
• Senior fitness activities, and
• Physician referrals.

One hour parking validation is available for the Mid-City Garage (across the street from the front entrance to the Nix) and discounted parking is available at the South Bank Lot (at the corner of Crockett and Navarro). Discounted valet parking is also available for seniors in the Nix Medical Center parking garage.
