The DeLee-Evans Foundation for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, in affiliation with the Nix Health Care Foundation, annually awards scholarships to area students pursuing an education in athletic training. The scholarships are awarded based on outstanding achievement as student athletic trainers, excellence in academia, varied extra-curricular activities, and financial need. Each recipient must be accepted into their respective college's athletic training program.

The DeLee-Evans Foundation for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, in association with the Department of Orthopaedics of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, supports a postgraduate education fellowship in Sports Medicine.
